Easter Monday
Yesterday, April 17, was Easter Sunday. It was the first time in three years I had been able to attend in-person Easter Sunday worship, and the first time in four years I had the privilege of being part of producing the service. I was on camera operator duty at Restoration Anglican Church and all went well.
For me, one of the most joyous parts of the morning was walking into the building first thing in the morning and, forgetting after three years that this was a thing one experiences on Easter morning, smelling the wall-to-wall fresh flowers. The narthex and chancel were both full to bursting with color and rich spring smells. As at many churches, congregants were invited to take one home with them, and on this gray morning in Northern Virginia, I have a bit of color sitting on my dining room table.
And my gift to you on this Easter Monday is my annual Eastertide playlist.
He is risen! Alleluia! Christ is risen indeed!
